PGA Seniors Chamionship

The Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid is the most prestigious Major Championship in senior golf. It brings together both the legends of the game and the newest members of senior professional golf to audiences throughout the United States. Fred Couples, Tom Watson, Paul Azinger, Jay Haas, reigning Champion Tom Lehman and Kentucky's own Kenny Perry, Russ Cochran, and Ted Schulz are among the 156 players eligible to compete at Valhalla.

Chef. I had the pleasure of speaking with you at the PGA event in Louisville on friday. (The cold day). You prepared a salmon in the new steamed over by KitchenAid. Where can I find the recipe for the glaze you used? It was BBq sauce, honey and etc. Also the blue cheese you served was the best. What brand was it?

Trans-Fats

Trans-fat ban could bring unintended consequences New York City has mandated that all of its restaurants will be frying foods only in trans-fat-free oils. The idea seems very enticing since consumption of trans fats, or partially hydrogenated oils has been linked to long-term heart problems. Therefore it seems the logical alternative is to use unsaturated oils. This seems to be true for unheated margarines and salad dressings. However, when the oils are used in frying operations, another picture emerges. It seems these unsaturated oils are prone to random oxidation, producing a plethora of oxidation products. Many of these are reported to be quite toxic. In the book “Symposium on Foods: Lipids and Their Oxidation,” published way back in 1962, there is an entire chapter devoted to the toxicity of heated fats and oils.
